Drawing influence from classic story "The Nutcracker and the King of Mice" written by E.T.A. Hoffman, Nomiwa envisioned the courageous Nutcracker after the war with the Rat King, a dark reinterpretation that draws inspiration from the gothic & grotesque German fairy tales from the 1800s.
