Ayako Ishiguro is a Japanese artist and illustrator known for her captivating depictions of creatures from Japanese folklore, often exploring the themes of transformation, mystery, and the coexistence of the ordinary and the extraordinary.
In addition to her original artwork, Ishiguro has also contributed to various projects, including picture books, book covers, and collaborations with other artists.
